TECAR Therapy - Coming Soon

WHAT IS TECAR THERAPY?:

T.E.C.A.R = Transfer of Capacitive And Resistive Energy

TECAR© technology is non-ablative, non-invasive, using currents of high frequency, usually in the range between 300 KHz and 1 Mhz reported to stimulate tissue repair and reduce inflammation. It can work in two modes of energy transfer: [2]

  • Capacitive mode: targets tissues with higher electrolytic content (soft tissues and muscles, lymphatic vessels, and blood vessels).
  • Resistive mode: affects tissues with higher resistance (joint, bone, tendon)

HOW DOES TECAR THERAPY WORK?:

TECAR therapy gradually heats up the treated region and stimulates natural tissue regeneration. It reduces pain, encourages cellular regeneration, stimulates tissue repair, and improves blood circulation in the treated area.

WHAT DOES IT TREAT?:

TECAR©'s main use in physiotherapy relates to the rehabilitation of musculoskeletal and pain disorders, and sport rehabilitation. [1]Some commonly treated conditions are:

  • Acute or chronic injuries / inflammation
  • Low back pain
  • Muscle spasms
  • Joint pain
  • Synovitis
  • Tendinopathy
  • Post-surgical
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Reported Benefits

    1. Pain Relief: Tecar therapy is suggested to reduce both acute and chronic pain by decreasing inflammation and promoting tissue healing.
    2. Accelerated Healing: By enhancing blood flow and cellular metabolism, Tecar therapy may speed up the recovery process after injuries or surgeries.
    3. Non-Invasive: Unlike many other treatments, Tecar therapy is non-invasive and generally well-tolerated by patients.
    4. Versatility: It can be used for a wide range of conditions, including musculoskeletal disorders, sports injuries, and even chronic conditions like arthritis.
