Platelet Rich Plasma ("PRP") Injections

PRP Injections are performed by drawing blood from the patient, spinning it in a special machine (so that the platelets separate from the red blood cells) and then re-injecting the platelet rich plasma into the damaged tissue. Platelet Rich Plasma is highly concentrated with growth factors, cytokines, collagen and other reparative chemicals that are necessary for tissue repair. By injecting them directly into the damaged tissue we can dramatically increase the repair and regeneration of those damaged tissues, by providing the tissues with a high concentration of these chemicals, as well as naturally stimulating the body to release stem cells in the area.
